Duo inplainsight art is made of Brian Boldon and Amy Baur that have used digital glaze printing in various forms within architectural spaces since 2004. Together, they have made over 60 public art installations across the US, including at Wayne State College in Nebraska, Secchia Medical School in Michigan, St. Louis Park City Hall in Minnesota, and more. Here is a series of 13 aluminum grids in square cubes with digital glaze images fused to opaque glass located in the atrium of the Stringfellow Southeast Police Station in Houston. Each image shows part of an oak tree, such as the bottom panel featuring the trunk while the image above it shows the branches that protrude outwards for the rest of the images. Throughout the images are small, surreal details edited in the tree’s branches, such as a compass, a star, blankets, and more. Together, the images measure over six feet high and 10 feet wide. At night, four lights illuminate the piece, showing how each cube is a different depth and create grid-like shadows. The technical and digital aspect of the art contrasts with the natural image of the tree.

Juntos, han creado más de 60 instalaciones de arte público en todo Estados Unidos, incluyendo obras en el Wayne State College en Nebraska, la Facultad de Medicina Secchia en Michigan, el Ayuntamiento de St. Louis Park en Minnesota, entre otros lugares. Aquí se presenta una serie de 13 cuadrículas de aluminio en forma de cubos con imágenes digitales impresas sobre vidrio opaco, ubicadas en el atrio de la comisaría de policía Stringfellow Southeast en Houston. Cada imagen muestra una parte de un roble; por ejemplo, el panel inferior muestra el tronco, mientras que la imagen superior muestra las ramas que se extienden hacia afuera en las demás imágenes. A lo largo de las imágenes, se aprecian pequeños detalles surrealistas insertados en las ramas del árbol, como una brújula, una estrella, mantas, y otros elementos. En conjunto, las imágenes miden más de 1,80 metros de alto y 3 metros de ancho. Por la noche, cuatro luces iluminan la obra, revelando que cada cubo tiene una profundidad diferente y creando sombras en forma de cuadrícula.
