Outside the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Houston are two tall bronze sculptures with different levels of thickness. One, at its base, is labeled as “Narrow” and stands 28 feet tall and four feet wide, weighing 1800 pounds. The other one is labeled “Voluminous” and stands 22 feet tall and 11 feet wide, weighing 3800 pounds. Both sculptures have a stainless-steel frame inside that were cast with bronze by Schmäke Düsseldorf in Germany and shipped to Houston from the Port of Rotterdam in Holland. This artwork seems to be a part of a series of similar works, including another smaller version titled “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” made of wood and another smaller version of bronze both made in 2003. The artist, Tony Cragg, was born in England in 1949 and is known to make larger installations and public art pieces, receiving the Turner Prize and appointed as a professor at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 1988. Regarding the form of these sculptures Cragg stated: “Ultimately, all art, no matter how abstract, revolves around and relates to the human figure and human nature.”

Una de ellas, en su base, está etiquetada como "Estrecha" y mide 28 pies de alto y 4 pies de ancho, con un peso de 1800 libras. La otra está etiquetada como "Voluminosa" y mide 22 pies de alto y 11 pies de ancho, con un peso de 3800 libras. Ambas esculturas tienen una estructura interna de acero inoxidable y fueron fundidas en bronce por Schmäke Düsseldorf en Alemania y enviadas a Houston desde el puerto de Róterdam en los Países Bajos. Esta obra de arte parece ser una parte de una serie de obras similares, que incluye otra versión más pequeña titulada "Fuera de los ojos, fuera de la mente," hecha de madera, y otra versión más pequeña de bronce, ambas realizadas en 2003. El artista Tony Cragg nació en Inglaterra en 1949 y es conocido por sus grandes instalaciones y obras de arte público.
