Victor Ingrassia is a video and film maker who uses photography, audio, animation, and painting to create experimental films, documentaries, music videos, and more. His artworks have been featured with BBC, Fin Records, Oakland International Airport, and more. Here is one of his videos that is two minutes long and was shown in the George R. Brown Convention Center; it is an excerpt of a longer video titled “FluidDrive” that is 12 minutes long. The video shows abstract colors and shapes moving in various patterns and motions, such as: a pair of blue wings that swirl into a red and light green spiral; a kaleidoscope of butterflies of various colors that spiral; and a stream of colors, including red, orange, blue, green, purple, and more, that turn into spirals. The title hints that the motif, a recurring element or subject, of the video is the tornado design present in every scene. Ingrassia said the video is: “…intensely colored digital paint which swirls and flows on the canvas, interacting with itself; imbued with life, like an amalgam of wind, water, and fire.”
