Emilie Duval is a French/American multidisciplinary visual artist with a rich background.
Over the last two decades, she has lived in various countries and cities. Born in Paris,
Duval moved to Texas, residing in Beaumont for six years before permanently settling
in Houston in 2014. Her journey has been one of constant exploration and growth.

With a foundation in Law and Art History, Duval has spent years refining her visual
practice, immersing herself in different cultures, museums, and landscapes worldwide.
Her art is a potent medium to explore a wide range of topics, including social
inequality, environmental concerns, politics, and the significant impact of technology
on society. Over the years, Duval has displayed her artwork at numerous prestigious
venues, showcasing her passion for delving into the complexities of our contemporary
world. In 2016, her art was exhibited at the Holocaust Museum in Houston, providing a
poignant platform to convey profound messages.

Her work was also featured in New American Paintings (West Issue, #72), allowing her
to connect with a broader audience and share her artistic vision. In 2017, Duval
participated in Aqua Art Basel, Miami, and a solo exhibition titled "Order From Chaos"
at the Cindy Lisica Gallery in Montrose, offering viewers a chance to immerse
themselves in her artistic metaphors.
In 2019, she had solo shows at the Heidi Vaughan Fine Art Gallery in Houston and the
FWCAC in Fort Worth. She also shared her creative process in visual art through an art
talk at Rice University

In 2021, Duval presented a compelling solo show titled "The Order of The Simulation"
at HVFA in Houston, further affirming her commitment to exploring contemporary
digital issues through art. Following this, in 2022, her artwork was featured in a solo
show titled "Computational Dust of Existence" at Patrick Mikhail Gallery in Montreal, as
well as in a two-person show titled "Life's a Glitch" at Office Space Gallery in Salt Lake
City, and a group show called "Dimension" at Hollis Taggart, showcasing her
dedication to making a diverse impact. More recently, she had shows at the Luminaria
Festival in San Antonio, and at The Texas Vignette in Dallas.
