I’m a homebody, residing in the same town and brick street neighborhood where I was raised. I was introduced to photography. (1971), in the same darkroom at Tyler Junior College where I have taught on and off for 40 years. My studio is across the street from my Lindsey Lane home in the basement of my 92-year old neighbor, watercolorist AC Gentry. I check on him during studio sessions so I can mull over a still life before exposing a sheet of film. I’ve made a living with photography in the energy, medical, advertising and hotel businesses, though Amon Carter Museum purchased prints when I was a student. Most museums in the region include me in their collections. The Harry Ransom Center, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, The Museum of Southeast Texas at Beaumont, The Grace Museum in Abilene, Tyler Museum of Art. The Rauschenburg collection, the Comer Collection, many private collections and small museums. The Blackfork Bestiary, is used by Borealis Press, Blue Hill, Maine on note cards sold nationally through Barnes and Nobles and other stores. One of the images, a Snapping Turtle balanced
