Miguel Miramontes Carmona was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 1918. After carrying out several offices (tailoring, jewelry and carving religious images) he decided to dedicate himself to the sculpture and moved to Mexico City to study this career in the Academy of San Carlos.
