Larry Schueckler Dedication to a cause, the love of life, and creativity in exploring new concepts is the cynosure of my work. The challenge to, without restraint, recognize, interpret and record abstracts of the human form has always been fueled by the high spirited people who contribute to our lives. Athletes and accomplished dancers often become the focus revealing insights to the importance of understanding anatomy, the effects of action and reaction, and the significance of weight and balance. Success is defined in the translation of that which is present but cannot be seen into the resulting visual imagery. Throughout the creation process open eyes and trust allow journeys down new paths of discovery. As events unfold in wonderful dimensions for the senses, compositions are manipulated through these multiple and complex stories and always something brand new begins to appear. Success is quantified in diverse interpretations, multiple points of interest, and a desire to explore. Each new sculpture is transformed from clay to bronze through a complex process of molding, wax casting, remolding, pouring of molten bronze, welding, and precision grinding. But, before the bronze can be cast ----- discovery exists in the abandon manipulation of the clay.
