Regina Silveira, a Brazilian artist with an extensive international career and a significant contribution to the
visual arts scene in Brazil, graduated in Fine Arts from the UFRGS Institute of Arts, with a Master's and
Doctorate from the School of Communications and Arts at USP. As an educator Regina Silveira taught in
several institutions, initially at UFRGS itself, and later at the University of Puerto Rico, FAAP and USP.
Throughout her artistic career, her presence extended to biennials, individual and collective exhibitions
around the world, standing out in events such as the International Biennial of São Paulo, Curitiba, La
Habana, BienalSur in Argentina and the Setouchi Triennial, in Japan. Among her solo exhibitions in recent
years, highlights include Lumen, at the Palacio de Cristal of the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, Exit, at
the Sculpture Museum in SP, Octopus Wrap, at the Seattle Art Museum and Others Paradoxes, at
MAC/USP. With several national and international awards, her work is represented in public and private,
national and international collections.
