I am a photographic artist who spent a lifetime as a seaman. I went to Annapolis in 1967, graduated and spent the next 45 years working at sea. For the last 30 years of my seagoing career I was a pilot bringing ships of all sizes in and out of Houston. In 20041 began carrying a camera to work to document life on the channel. As a photographer, I have had work displayed at Houston City Hall, Main Library, Houston Arts Alliance, Venice Biennale, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony, Williams Tower, FotoFest and in nautical schools, offices and buildings all over the world.
